We've set up some great installations in our time. One issue the client often has is knowing where to put the aquarium. Most clients who want to install large aquariums are not experienced aquarists or fish keepers. Instead, they love the idea of a floor to ceiling tank or a tank contained within the partition of a wall. While this is made possible due to the income level of the client, many of them pay for fish sitting/cleaning/care services, it's easy to forget about actual practical limitations. Practical limitations often come down to things outside of the tank that many people don't realize. For example, some tanks require protein skimmers, large LED lights, and most of them have huge filters that are outside the tank. These need housing yet many interior designers simply forget about them. For example, even a small home fish tank will usually have a large filter, like a fluval 406 - that's a new type of "canister filter" that's common nowadays. I mean this thing is pretty large and it's only meant for small tanks, you can imagine what needs housing when you have a designer fish tank. Have a think on that when you're considering setting up a fish tank in your new home. Get in touch with us if you need a custom premium aquarium set up!
